I’m Cordell, a Canadian fantasy writer with over a decade of experience in marketing and corporate storytelling. A graduate of both Professional Cooking and Journalism from SAIT Polytechnic, I’ve spent the past fifteen years telling stories with food and words alike.

Today I have a focus on character-driven speculative fiction with ecological, mythic, and queer themes, often blending mystery with expansive secondary-world settings. In 2024 I wrote my first novel, BLADE & FEATHER, which is a queer fantasy noir developed through the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society’s year-long Chapter-by-Chapter mentorship program.

Having recently moved to BC’s Columbia Valley along with my husband and dog, the outdoors and the natural world hold a special place in my heart. When not writing, I can usually be found baking and decorating cakes at my local grocery store, building model kits in my workshop, or studying a new language.
